If you want to get the full experience of the Balloon Stampede, make sure to get there bright and early! The balloons are inflated every morning at 7:15. Each day of the festival has a specific theme. You’ll want to get there early on the first day as it is the most popular and gives children the opportunity to go in the baskets of the balloons to float. The second day is for media-professionals only. The third day is jam-packed with great events, from the Special Shapes Round-Up and the Night Glow Spectacular. This event begins at dusk and features glowing balloons. The third day features the Mayor’s Cup Launch—a competition that tests the pilots’ navigational skills. The final day features The Great Launch. This is the most challenging event of all—an attempt to float all the balloons at once!
