5 Awesome Events You Must Attend This Summer In Washington State!

Summer means holiday time! Are you planning to travel to Washington state in the upcoming months? You should then attend these five annual summertime events and experience a different side of Washington.


1. Moses Lake Airshow - Moses Lake, WA | June 18th - June 19th, 2021

Moses Lake Airshow was created to increase awareness about the community and tourism around Moses Lake in Washington. This airshow takes place in the Grant County International Airport, which is one of the largest airfields in the United States. There’s an exciting lineup planned for this year! The show will have various military acts which will include a demonstration by the U.S. Army ‘Black Daggers’ parachute team and even an A-10 Thunderbolt II attack plane.


2. Water Follies, Kennewick, WA | July 23 - July 25, 2021

A perfect event for when the sun is out and shining bright! Imagine a noisy sky with hydroplanes flying and splashing on the Columbia River. The real fun begins with Dash for Cash when hydroplane teams compete in a race. The winner gets an “under the tree” parking spot and the Columbia Cup. The 2-day event is packed with an airshow, delicious food, and activities like helicopter rides and laser tag.


3. Washington State International Kite Festival, Long Beach, WA | August 19- August 25, 2021

A week-long celebration for kite-lovers from around the world! This exciting festival takes place every year at Long Beach in Washington. You will find kites of all colors, shapes, and kinds, and you can also learn to fly and decorate one. On the last day, anyone and everyone can fly a kite at the festival which is a sight everyone must witness!

4. Bass Canyon Festival, George, WA | August 20 - August 22, 2021

A music festival amidst beautiful scenery and beneath the stars. It’s an event that all dubstep and music fans look forward to every year. This music festival also offers camping passes with different plans that include camping equipment. They always have a promising line-up of artists performing. 5. Great Prosser Balloon Rally, Prosser, WA | September 21, 24, and 25, 2021

Imagine a beautiful blue sky which is full of colorful air balloons. We know you are already dreaming of that perfect Instagram picture. You can watch the balloons up close, look at them inflate, and if you are lucky, you can even assist the balloon pilots in inflating the balloons. The Great Prosser Balloon Rally is a fun summer weekend activity that you can plan with your family.
